Durango Beer and Ice Co.

Located on the north side of Durango, the Durango Beer and Ice Co. is now serving beer brewed by High Trestle Brewing Company. Their beer list includes seasonal selections as well as beers brewed in the past. Craft breweries sprung up in the 1980s. At that time, large national breweries dominated the market, and many independent brewers were encouraged to start their own businesses. In 2013, the Durango Brewing Company and BREW Pub & Kitchen both closed, and Chainless Brewing opened in their spot. Then, Chainless Brewing Co. popped up, and it's unclear if the two businesses will be located in the same location.

Located in the same strip of restaurants as Macho's south, this brewery has a long history of serving the local community. After years of working as a firefighter, Sullivan was inspired to create his own business, and he crafted the beer himself. He hopes to offer live music at some point in the future. The owner is an active member of Flight for Life, a nonprofit organization that supports firefighters and their families.

Located in Durango, Colorado, Ska Brewing is a Colorado craft brewery that has been in business since 1995. Their flagship brews have become local favorites. The brewpub's atmosphere was inspired by the city's punk rock and skate culture. The name Anarchy, which means "anarchy" in English, is a nod to the city's infamous skateboard park. In addition to being a punk rock mecca, Anarchy is pet-friendly and allows dogs and food. The owner is also a former firefighter from Albuquerque and is a member of Flight for Life.
